The Fall Decorating Contest sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.

The judges had a really difficult task on Saturday, October 14th, trying to pick winners - there were so many beautiful displays to choose from.  Ultimately they considered creativity, originality, content, color and effort that went into the displays. Many did a wonderful job of tying the Fair theme and their product or service. Kudos to everyone who participated, you really showed your Fair spirit. I want to give a big shout out to the judges who gave up their Saturday to participate in this event with us, and to Brent Jones of the Washington Parish Sheriff's Office who drove us from one end of town to the other and back again with no complaints! Good Man! Also need to thank Claire McGuire and Kristi Knight who delivered signs to the winners, as well as my daughter and granddaughter, Missy and Allie Stevens who gave me a hand.

Pictured below are some of the First Place Winners.  All of the winners are pictured on the Chamber's Facebook page:

Kudos to Sarah Cook

Congratulations to Chamber of Commerce Treasurer, Sarah Cook, chosen to be in the Member Spotlight of the Police Jury of Louisiana's August newsletter. Sarah was chosen for her "willingness to work hard and go above and beyond what is asked of her." We wholeheartedly agree with that assessment! Please join us in congratulating Sarah on a job well done!

The Battle of the Businesses Softball Tournament previously scheduled for this Saturday, October 7th, has been cancelled due to several scheduling conflicts.  This event will likely be rescheduled after the first of the year, so stay tuned.  Meanwhile, please spread the word to anyone that might have planned on participating.  Questions?   Call Sarah Cook - 985-515-0720.

The Franklinton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors honored outgoing Executive Director, Linda E.
